Who wears a hat?

For the same reason I also cannot wear hats, I like em but they make my head too hot
I have never wore a hat. Not that I haven't tried a few times. I've tried baseball caps, but don't like the feel of the rim around my head. I have a lightweight foldable full brimmed hiking hat, but the breeze catches it and blows it off my head.
But I recently had skin cancer removed, right next to my nose. My surgeon reminded me that the most effective protection for the head and face is wearing a hat. So perhaps I'll try again.

I wear a trucker-style hat daily. I had some bad skin cancer, and I'm bald, so I pretty much have to. I am outdoors most of the day.
I loathed hats when I was younger. Now I can't stand to have the sun on me and Rosacea. I love my big, straw hats. Even became my distinctive identifier when I was working.
The worst drivers are old men wearing hats.
I keep a baseball cap in the car for driving, move the bill around to block the sun as necessary. Used to wear them all the time as a teen but got out of the habit in adulthood: but something with a broad rim is something I often wear outside these days. Keeps the rain off my glasses, plus that UV concern.
Only thing is, I sweat profusely and once the hat loads up, I'm often done being outside. Hate it went sweat drips onto my glasses.

My Dad warned me from a young age of the perils of old men wearing hats and driving.
I pretty much always wear a ball cap style hat. It's easier than dealing with thinning, flyaway hair. The plus side is that sometimes the logo or the team on your hat can also be a conversation starter. You know, "oh nice, what kind of Harley ya got?" or "hey, the Vikings look good this year, ya think they might actually win a Super Bowl?" Stuff like that.
For doing yard work or on vacation at the beach, I recently invested in a Shelta brimmed hat. It has a stiff brim in the front so it doesn't flop down in front of my eyes. It has UV protection, a little storage pouch, adjustable, floats, chin string, etc. It cost about $60 but so do a few cups of coffee from Starbucks so since I drink instant, I figured I could spend the money on the hat.

Which model of hat? You got me looking at em.
If you’re talking about the felt ones I believe they’re made by Akubra, or at least some of them were made by Akubra. You might be able to find something similar on their website, but hold on to your hat when you see some of the prices.
I have the Osprey which I see has now been replaced by the Osprey V2. The price has also unfortunately been updated, perhaps due to the present tariff situation.

I can’t stand wearing a hat. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve worn one. Luckily I have a full head of hair, and no worries of it disappearing.

I've never been a big on wearing hats. But I got in the habit of wearing racing team ball caps when out in the sun, after knowing too many people in the same field who have/had skin cancer.
