Just like the title states. Just curious of how well this oil performs as I know where I can get some at a reasonable price.
Who is using Torco SR1 oil?

I have been using it in my vehicles for about 6 months or so. They still run fine.
In fact MPG went up near 2 MPG, but with weather, time of year etc, who can tell for sure?
Not done any formal "testing" but by the engines sound, butt dyno, and mpg increase, I will continue to use it... Besides, I like using different oils.

Is this mini-van/SUV soccer mom oil - or for racing?

I know some street legal "import racer" types that use 5W-20 SR1 for minimum hp loss.
Is it a real issue over say M1 5w30?

I know more than a few "racers" that use it for the same reason (HP) as well as protection.I can feel a difference and the MPG is up on my families personal vehicles...
Torco is a blender that top names use. They make Yamahas motorcycle oil which is highly regarded by the two wheel types.
There are many others but I would have to...well never mind. LOL

HA! same here,I was using Mobil 1 synthetic oil for years, in both my drag / show car,plus my Ford Explorer.Then when they changed their formula,I've just switched to VP oil. So,I'm using a different oil
As you know Torco makes ths RS530 for VP. Slightly different add pack etc (per VP specs ), but still a very good oil according to Torco.
Funny, I was wondering about that.Thats what I'm currently using,is the RS530 in my Explorer.Right away the valvetrain was quieter upon start-up,vehicle runs cooler as well. Alot smoother running vehicle then it was running Mobil 1 synthetic.
