I am getting ready to run Evans Waterless coolant in a street/track car with extreme output. Can anyone give me some BTDT and good things bad things abt. it.
Thanks,
Rod
Sounds like impressive stuff, just did not work in my stock Taurus.
You should have better luck in a car that you can fine tune the cooling system to optimize it for the Evans.
Good luck!
Huh, what was it that didnt work, the overflow setup? Mine is just plug and play. I am curious what you ran into, care to share. I am using because it is a turbo car which we did a good bit of head work on, and turbo cars are notorious in tiny hot spots becoming sources of detonation on boost and very quickly. The contact liq, to metal without the gas barrier was what sold me. Its expensive as a ***** tho.

You'll probably see higher then normal coolant temps. This bothers some. It doesn't work well in cooler temps do the viscous nature, as oilboy mentioned.
Higher than normal coolant temps means greater engine effeciency. Not a problem as this is a toy and track car.
Thanks, I now understand. I dont have a heater core.

You have to be careful with the water pump. Usually the water pump will work fine on a race car, but will not flow fast enough for Evans at low engine speeds. You also need a larger radiator with large coolant tubes.I have tried Evans on several cars including a 1000 HP road race car. In my humble opinion, this stuff does not work.YOur metal temps run higher with Evans, not what their marketing claims.By the way, no track that I know of will allow you to run this anymore. All the tracks require water only in the coolant system.
