Who has the thickest can?

Searching Baldwin high pressure hydraulic filters I found that komatsu filter.
EBay knock of filters around $35 or a wix or Baldwin around $80.
Might try one of those. No one lists burst pressure.

It seems an aluminum housing filter is a medium pressure hydraulic filter, designed to work in the 200-300-1000 psi range and with burst pressures in the 800-2000 psi range. It seems for Donaldson, all their high pressure hydraulic filters are cartridges and housings, which makes sense, as you need a serious 3-4" diameter pipe to hold 3000 psi for working pressures, with a 6000psi burst rating.

I used to run Fram Racing oil filters (year ago) and they had a pretty stout can.

Here's the dimensions of everything they offer....if you can find one, this might be a good bet.

I ordered a farm racing hp6a and a wix racing filter. We'll see tomorrow.
I have some more likely guesses, but don't wish to unnecessarily attract the attention of them three letter alphabet dudes ...
Definitely not, your first guess was closer.
I don't want to derail the thread yet, I'll say what it is later. It's kind of silly.

The thickness of the sheet metal in the Baldwin is 0.020”. Just cut one open, put the micrometer on it. Thinner than I imagined, but I have no basis for comparison.

This fram hp6a I think is a winner. .03+ thick and sturdy I can work with this.
Be hilarious if I can keep it fram orange.
C&p here

^^^ Side note observation - Fram racing filter uses a gasket between the leaf spring and end cap for a good seal.
