Great sale at pep boys, who makes their pro-line oil and filters. I heard that the pro-line filters are purolators, but the oil I have no idea if its any good, but for 9.99 for 5 qts and a filter, thats a good deal if the oil is at all decent. thanks in advance.

i know that purolator used to make their oil filters they were purolator premium plus dont know if purolator still makes them but last time i looked about a year ago or less they did

You can get a Purolator oil filter up to $4.99 and if you get something that costs more you only have to pay the difference. I got deals and got two PureOnes for $1 more on top of the price of the deal. So $10.99 for 5 qts of oil and a PureOne oil filter.

Yea, I have 4000 miles on my sludge prone engine (1MZ-FE) on conventional, so I will buy some soon and change it. 9.99 is a great price and its not in their circular its some coupon. Autozone has a similar deal for 12.99 for 5 qts and STP filter

I would suggest you get a Purolator filter instead of the ProLine. Something I have noticed is if you compare a Purolator and a ProLine, the Proline is shorter for the same application. I do not know if it is like that for all filters but it is for my two vehicles.

The Proline filters are made by Purolater. Looks like Purolater is going to shorter filters across the board. Right now my local PB has filters in both names.......Some short and some long but with the same number.

The PB Proline oil used to be made by QS. Looks like Warren now. My boss' Blazer is getting close to 300K on the PB oil. I put a timing set in it @ 225K and it looked clean from what I saw.
