I gave up on them years ago. I never liked that they attracted more dirt and were more difficult to clean properly. Some dressings turned brown as they aged. So the wheels looked quite bad. Plus I never liked my tires shiny to begin with.

I'm perfectly happy with just washing them with car soap. How about you guys?

I was glad when whitewalls went out of style and I didn't have to scrub them anymore. I tried a tire dressing a couple of times 20+ years ago, never bothered since. Finally disposed of the can when we moved last year.

Why wash them? Just slam the doors and the mud and crud will fall right off.
I go for a drive when its raining, in the spring mostly, drive through lots of puddles to wash off the salt. When I do actually wash the car, I do make a point to scrub the tires and wheels a bit.
Before kids, and monotone plastic jellybean cars, I used to wash and wax the '81 Olds Omega Brougham pretty regularly, get that chrome trim shining! And I used to love giving the white sidewalls a light scrub with a sos pad to make them pop! Even in the early 2000's white walls were pretty much over. I might've even tried some tire dressing on it? I haven't used any since at least.

they used it on my MG before delivery. I never liked it, makes tyres look like jerry curls from "coming to america".
Soul Glo!

On topic, I never use the stuff. I even got it free for Fathers Day, left it on the shelf in my garage.

Pablo got a new car with it on the tire tread, took a while to burn off.
