Who does everyone use for homeowners/auto?

Check with a local Farm Bureau agency...I don't farm but joined the farm bureau for $50/year to drop my rates on both home and auto considerably, and also got increased liability on the autos as well. I got periodic quotes for the last 10 years and no one was able to beat Geico for me until I switched to these guys.

We've been with Auto-Owners for over 25 years. A few small claims. Service when needed has been provided. Could always wish to pay less but...this is not a perfect world. Nothing bad enough to make us want to look elsewhere. YMMV.

I have had State Farm vehicle insurance going on 35 years in August. I do the 6-month contract and pay monthly. The last (4) 6-month policies it has gone down over $30.
I could get renters insurance for an additional $3 a month if I wanted it.

State Farm but our family has been with them for like 40-45 years so we have almost every discount known to man. I shop around every few years and most places are usually double what we pay because of the discounts we get.

I do the same thing. My safe drivers discount is $508.
SF has the best rates and as tyman stated, everyone else is almost double!

State Farm’s lowest homeowners deductible is 0.5% for me and that’s too high for the rates they want. They are competitive on auto when you factor in the home/auto discount but not enough to offset their high homeowner premiums.

I’ll try Erie and Farm Bureau.

I have used State Farm for home and auto for a couple years now and have been happy. No crazy premium increases, local agent is responsive, and it has just been a good experience. I've always had better experiences with a local agent. The only reason I changed from my last local agent (GMAC, not State Farm) was I moved to a state they weren't licensed in.

State Farm. When I got the Mustang way back when they were the only ones that didn't have a heart attack about it. In 19 years, the money has only gone one way as we've never been at fault in anything auto and our storm damage claim was denied (even though over half of my block had roof damage from a derecho). So I guess I'm personally sponsoring Jake.

state farm for my homeowners & flood. geico for my autos. i get quotes every 6 months and no one can even come close to geico rates. ive been with them for over 10yrs now. places like amica, erie, allstate & progressive are nearly double the rates i get with geico and i have a spotless (knock on wood) driving record. no accidents or tickets. even state farm cant do it with a multi policy discount.

Liberty Mutual for home and auto. We've had three windshield replacements, otherwise no claims. This year I called and told them the homeowners policy was too expensive and I was going elsewhere. They miraculously dropped the price by almost half, so we stayed.

The insurance company not to use is the Hartford sold under the AARP endorsement. They will raise your rate every year as long as you put up with it. I think any and all insurance companies do that. I understand rate increases due to liabilities created by sever storms, but insurance companies are no different than school boards. They look at the payers as a bottomless money pit. How else can you explain a school district with declining enrollment and no outlook for growth ask tax payers to pass a twenty million dollar bond election to build a new high school with a performing arts center and all the other goodies large, well heeled districts have? Well I'm here to tell you that bond election exploded in the air and vent down in flames. That district wound up remodeling and adding on to the existing facility. One of the gymnasiums serves as the performing arts center, and that is good enough for a town of 1650 residents.
