White "fiber" sediment in radiator

Just a quick question for those who might know.

I'm in the process of flushing out my 91' Navistar diesels radiator and noticed a white fiber type of sediment in the radiator. There is no rust though, it looks very clean inside. The fiber seems free flowing like toilet paper in water. It looks pretty weird.

Does anyone know what that deposit is? Will a chemical flush remove it?

Some cooling system stop leak products utilize vegetable fiber which will expand on contact with air to seal leaks.

It looks like someone put some Bar's leak in your radiator to stop a leak. That's what it looks like when you flush it out.

Don't forget to add some of the diesel engine coolant suppliment to keep the wall pitting down.
