$34.50 for 10 delivered

how is $3.45 less than $2.95?

There's a cost associated with going to Walmart.

No really though, you run a shop, so you will use all 10 of those filters in a short time.

But for most people, it's not practical to buy 10 oil filters at once, especially for one that is common and easily available

The only time I'd buy oil filters in bulk is for a rare, hard-to-find, or expensive filter (like the PH10600 equivalents, usually well over $10, and the Ultras are $30, but cheap eBay no-name bulk less than $5 each by the case)

Fram seems to vacillate between US-made and Chinese-made versions of the Extra Guard 10358. The media may be identical in them.
The ST version appears to be constructed identically to the US-made Extra Guard, except that the media may differ.
The ST has also been rumored to be identical to a Wix equivalent.

Edit : just went there site to check . Time to buy 3-4. Been wait long time.

Napa having platinum on sale ?

Mahle makes a very good filter for that application, made in Austria

But right now, Napa has a sale on their Napa Platinum filters for only $5.99. Napa #47064 . Napa Platinum is the same as Wix XP, which is like the Fram Ultra. Made in Poland.

Include me in the "most people". As I don't use them rapidly, ~3 filters stash is most I want.

However, since bulk purchase broached, 12 of the ST cartridges purchased will get free shipping to home. Or purchase something else like oil combined with cartridges to $35 gets free shipping. No trip to store required.

As for topic, for ~5k fci, I'd think any of the cartridges mentioned would get the job done.

^^ Yes, Walmarts fast free shipping has been great, been using it a lot.
In the past I have ordered Chevron oil from them with the free shipping but now that the shipping is mainstream. You don't even need to buy oil to add on free shipping, you can add on anything, like a can of coffee or grocery.
Its truly free and fast.
You dont need to buy a membership like Amazon to get fast shipping.

IMO the pleats are what get me, I would go for the SuperTech over the fram. Cost being another factor, you could get two ST for the price of one Fram. Why pay for advertising.

I remember reading a test report amongst oil filters not too long ago (if I can find the report, I shall post - it may already be on BITOG) and it showed it didn't matter much between filter brands for a short-to-mid length oil use interval. As long as the filter wasn't a total pile of junk. The oil itself was the biggest factor in the testing, but that's for another discussion.

Use the ST with confidence.

The footprint of 10 cartridge filters is fairly small - my box is about the size of a loaf of bread. Not sure what the big deal is. Buy once and not have to worry about filters for several years?

'For me', I don't want store 10 filters I might not finish using for ~5+ years. Just my preference and I never have a concern about being able to obtain a filter at a good price as needed. Never been a problem.

I too, would buy the Toyota / OEM over either of those. I was always able to get them pretty cheap from the dealership actually (around 3-4 bucks a piece), but ended up buying in bulk like shown above.

This might be wrong/dated info, but aren't Supertech oil filters made by WIX? Even if they weren't, if they are USA made, I would go with them vs the Fram.
