Had a guy come in my shop the other day asking for 265/75/16's, used. I didn't have any, except for the ones on my truck. But, as my uncle in Arizona would say at his shop, everything is for sale, and I told him that. So now not only does he want to buy the tires off of it, he wants the rims also. I think they will fit, they are 16x8 135mm 5 lug for a Ford onto a 96 Dodge Ram 1/2 ton, they are gone also. Gonna get some black Pacer "poverty" Daytona rims.

The question is... Which tire should I go with? I want to get 265/70/16s. I mean, I can get any tire I want. What would you get?

1999 Ford F-150 SuperCab XLT 4x4 with the 5.4L.

I must admit, I am really leaning towards a highway tread. Like a Yokohama HT/S. Or a General Grabber UHP or HTS. Maybe even the Michelin LTX M/S2..... Decisions, decisions...

+2 they are great on the expedition.

If the OE size is 265/75-16 and you want lower profile then 265/70-17 will have the same overall diameter of 31.6". 265/70-16 is 1" smaller than 265/75-16,

If you have money for Michelin LTX then go for it, otherwise General Grabber UHP is a good choice.

You better check and make sure your wheels fit his truck before you get too into this. Pretty sure a 96 dodge is 5 on 5.5 pattern which is what was used on 1/2 ton fords prior to 1996.

For tires Michelin LTX M/S2.

All 3 you're considering look good. I was in the market for the same size tires up untill a few weeks ago. I was looking at the grabbers and yoko's just because I'm too cheap to shell out the dough for Michelin's. I just don't think your getting that much more tire out of a Michelin over the other less expensive choices out there.

Anyway I scored four lightly used Yoko Geolander AT/S's off CL for $50. Good enough for a 3rd vehicle that get's driven maybe 8k miles a year.

Had I bought new I would've went with Grabber, Kumho's, or Yoko's

Don't think your rim swap is going to work. As another poster pointed out, the 5 on 135mm on the F150 is not what is on the Dodge. Not a lot (if any) other vehicles swap with that generation of F150's.
