My 2007 3.0 V6 Ford Escape Limited will be coming up for an oil change around the middle of November. I have six qts. of Pennzoil Conventional 5w20 and six qts of Pennzoil Ultra 5w-20. SUV will be kept in a heated garage so cold-starting is a non-factor. Filter will be a Bosch Distance Plus and I usually change the oil a little earlier than when the OLM says it's time to.
Which Pennzoil should I use?

Why not use the syn through the winter and the conventional when spring arrives?

Either oil will do fine in your winters. Use the syn as it costs more.
However you choose, Pennzoil Convnetional, Platinum, or Ultra will serve you well all year long. Don't be afraid or panic when using quality Pennzoil products.
I would save the Pennzoil conventional for spring personally, but as stated, either will do.

+1. With some of the OC specials out there IMO it would pay to run the PP year round.

The newer Pennzoil Conventional is GF5 rated and it's extremely close to syn performance. Way cheaper too.
Since you have both, either one will work beautifully. In fact, today's conventional oils are so good that the 'winter/summer' oil analogy is irrelevant.

Use regular Pennzoil as the wax will help protect engine parts in the winter. j/k

I believe that is because Conoco-Phillips the makers of Motorcraft don't have a straight conventional. Just syn-blend and full syn.
Other engine oil makers can have the same performance without synthetic base stocks in a 5w20.
