Good to know. I'll post my reviews with redline once I use it.

Thanks again.

Why would you extend the OCI to 12k miles with redline?

I like using Redline for 7K miles to 10K miles...but 12K miles is arguably still in bounds per Redline.

Redline says 12K miles to 15K miles. Most people at BITOG, including me, think otherwise and like 7K to 10K.

GC is probably rated the same on BITOG...7K OCI seems fine, yet BMW approved GC might go 15K in a BMW.

Sometimes my posts need editing...

GC is BMW Long Life approved, and so in newer BMW's the oil service indicator might tell an owner that 15K miles is OK.

Since I drive hard and keep cars forever, I side with BMW mechanics and specialists who are still unsure if a BMW engine at 15K OCI's will be as good at 300K as ones run with 7K OCI's.

What I hear is concern that the 15K OCI's may get the engine to 100K, but a great high mileage engines may be harder to find.

I don't think that GC is any better or worse than Redline for longer OCI's..I just think that 7K to 10K OCI's with top synthetics are a safe compromise.

I agree with that. About 15,000 kms is the max I'll go with an oil filter change in the middle.
