I think Bob, Terry, etc. really do know the answer.....

They just sit back and yuck it up all day.....watching us send in our UOA's......not saying a word.....we're just their entertainment......their playtoys!!

It all depends on your application. If you use the right oil for your application you'll be alright. A top fuel dragster using 5w30 will certainly destroy the engine. A stock car will do will to just fine by following the manufacturer's recommendations. If you do long drains then synthetics in the same wt will help you achieve your drain intervals.
