I'm starting to think about my fall O/C in my GM 3.1 and I'm going to use full synthetic for a 6 to 7K OCI. I have the following filters onhand:

1) Purolator PP
2) Purolator Pureone
3) ST
4) AC (both Delphi and Champion versions)

I'm leaning towards the Puro PP because of its flow/filtering/capacity. The Pureones I like in warmer weather when cold, thick oil isn't such an issue. The other 3 are good filters but I think the PP flows a bit better. Is my thinking correct? Opinions?

I have the same engine and I don't think it's a good candidate for the longer o/c intervals. I use S-T dino and filters and change twice a year with your mileage. Even though mine has had the intake manifold replacement I wouldn't leave the same oil in for a year.

I have found an AC has half again as much filter media as a PP. wouldn't use anything else if anybody but my stealer stocked my numbers.
