I like to do extended drains on my truck, but it seems like everytime I do the "cheap" filters I use collapse when I try to take them off. Current filter is Napa Silver, been on for about 5K and noticed it may be leaking so it is coming off ASAP. I will run the next OCI to 8-10K, probably with Platinum or M1. Which filter should I use for that OCI? Thanks!

I suggest you try a PureOne, great filters and priced better than comparable filters as well. I like quality and value.
Actually, the Bosch Distance Plus has a heavier case than the PureOne.

The BD+ is twice as much as a pure1 and labeled as an extended drain where the P1 is not so the case might be more sturdy but a P1 can handle 7500 miles no problem on a clean engine.

You could also consider a Mobil 1 filter.
The PureOne's media can handle that mileage. Their canisters are a thinner material than the WIX equivalent on my applications. That might not be true in an F150 sized filter, though.
Napa Gold or Wix (same thing) are very good. Also Baldwin as good. You could get that K&N with the wrench nut on the dome end for easy removal, but they are very expensive. I will be running the K&N on the Ranger and Redline 5w20, intending to go 8-10 thousand miles though.

If you decide on going with Mobil 1, keep an eye out at Autozone. Every couple of months they run a special where you buy the Mobil 1 and they throw the Mobil 1 filter in free.
Mobil 1 Extended Performance filters are $10 each at AAP this month and a Bosch D+ is free with 5qts. Synpower. My uncle just ran a 10k with a D+ and upon cutting it open I felt it could go another 10k. Great filter, may be the best all around. Worth the money if you want excellent protection and quality build.
