I already know the answer to this question, but I've observed something disturbing recently.
Pep Boys added Fram a few months ago (or perhaps thay started greatly expanding Fram). Their ads in the Sunday paper the last few weeks have oil filter specials with Fram being priced higher than Purolator.
Pep Boys is going through a reinvention of themselves with a bigger push on service and they are advertising "Grand Re-Opening" here in my area. They are changing a lot of products and rearranging floor space.
The thought occured to me to say something to Pep Boys about the Fram vs Purolator but almost as soon as the thought came another one came saying "don't bother, it is after all, Pep Boys".
The other thought that comes to mind is that perhaps something is actually happening to Purolator since they were bought out by Fram's parent, Honeywell, a few months ago.
Does anyone have some insight here?
