I never insinuated that the OP was careless, but he did openly admit he drops his phone a lot. I don't know if that's due to butterfingers or the nature of his work.

And FWIW, I do have my iPhone 5s in a case because I know that accidents happen. The case is an insurance policy against those accidents, not an excuse for me to abuse my phone. As I said, I have yet to drop a phone.
