which fuel filter would you get

I read the reviews on aap. Alot of people say the bracket is wrong and the flow is backwards. I guess we will see. I hope the bracket bolts don't break.

I picked up the Fuel Filter for my T4R at NAPA. It was a NAPA Gold and I ordered it from their warehouse, for in-store pickup, with the Filter already installed in the bracket.

The location of the Fuel Filter on my T4R promotes corrosion to not only the filter, but the bracket. Whenever I've changed these out on my vehicle....they have been nothing but a corroded mess and impossible to salvage the bracket.

IMO...if you can....spend the extra couple of bucks and get the filter pre-installed on the bracket. It will save you another trip, money and aggravation in the long run.

BTW.....The NAPA gold is made in China....along with many of the fuel filters today.

Well its done. One of the bracket bolts broke off but I'm not going to worry about it

196,000 miles and it was the original fuel filter. Was definitely dirt too. Maybe I'll get better mileage.

Re used the old bracket
The purolator filter doesn't come with the correct bracket. I got it at aap. I'm happy about the change but a little bummed about the broken bracket bolt. So now only one bolt is holding it in. Broke right at the head.

every car I own, I alway running purolator , never have problem or fuel pressure or fitment issue. and if im driving a ford, advance have factory motorcraft it for 2 dollar more, i alway use that if I own a ford.

WIX fuel filters are great becuase they usually come with a bracket. NAPA might be getting their filters from WIX.

I also like the idea of using Motorcraft filters wherever they fit.

My local autoparts store that supplies the entire south Queens, NY area only sells WIX, so i know it's a great filter!!! he only sells the good stuff

I don't know what is better for your Saturn, but I would get a WIX. I liked Purolator fuel filters when they were made in the USA, but they are now made in China. I do not trust Chinese made stuff. I am fairly certain that WIX is still made in the USA. WIX is available at NAPA as their GOLD filter.
