The filter on the right has 48 pleats, compared to 43 on the left. The right filter has a more uniform look and appears slightly thicker. Mobil on the left and PGI on the right?
The one on the right looks like the filter that Toyo Roki used to manufacture for Honda motorcycles, that was made in Japan.... with the tightly folded pleats and the hot glue looking end caps
Now it is completely different and made by "WAFTEC" in China.
I think the filter on the right is the OEM Toyota (04152-YZZA1) by looking at the waffle like pleats' texture and also the clear and thinner glue/silicone. The pleats are uniform and closer to one another compared to the other filter. Overall, it looks better constructed than the left one.
Definitely on the right. The “fuzz” texture on the media suggests it might be higher efficiency even as the higher pleat count suggests more media area. Also, the thin PET-resembling endcaps are IMO superior to the milky looking plastic (presumable HDPE?)
PrimeGuard was $3.75 at Dollar General bought today. They are $1.61 at RA. The Protec is $2.71 at RA, I haven't checked locally. By looks alone, I could be a PrimeGuard FanBoi lol.
