Only if they ran into them.

LOL... You have another $30k laying around? A BASE 911 starts around $90k.

I'd personally go used and pick up a Z/28 if I wanted the baddest Chevy around - but of your two choices I'd take the ZL1.

Agreed....but of the 2 he listed....the Vette...

Vette is my vote. Or you could have a shop create your own hot-rod in a Resto-mod with a solid powertrain and a classic chassis for about half of the price.

No kidding, the ZL1 has a real world weight of 4000 pounds on the Moroso scales nearby. I think to get the curb weight to 3845 or what ever they claim requires running with no gas, no coolant, no brake fluid and so on. The one I saw pushed on the scale was so heavy, it took 4 guys to push it on to the scale. It may be lighter than the last generation. But it's still 4000 pounds in real world use.

And fast as can be. They are well into the 11's.

HOWEVER, all of this makes sense, 650HP won't push a 4000 pound car into the 10's. Whereas 650 HP will push an Enzo or F1 Mclaren into the 10's.

ZL-1 runs mid 11's stock and GS Corvette runs high 11's in the quarter mile with only 460 HP.

I agree an extra 200 HP should have the Camaro in the high 10's on street tires.

You can buy Cujet's S2000 turbo from him since he's moving soon and looking to sell. Plus it probably doesn't have black wheels which you don't care for.

I'm just comparing manufactures stated weight to each other, FWIW I weighed my Camaro SS 1LE it was 3700 lbs with a 55lbs in the trunk and an empty tank of gas, pushed it my self..

ZL1 is about 1sec faster in the 1/4 than the 1SS which is low 12s and ZL1 is Low 11s

I’d just save the cash and get a new Camaro SS 1LE. Most capable sports car under $50,000 by far.

Tough choice among those two though. Chevy makes excellent performance cars.

Why try to choose between these on performance? Either is way, way faster than most people can use.

Better to buy based on the experience of driving. In that respect, it's gotta be the 'Vette.

Driving or riding. There is a difference it has been said more than once the ZL1 is a drivers car, drives better than the Vette.
But for riding the ZL1 is harsh while the vette won't kill your kidneys liver etc.

If you are looking at both cars from a driving standpoint the numbers don't lie.

I prefer, nay REQUIRE, a car which I can get into (and out of) at will. Neither of those two fit that criterion.

No really, you could give me both of them , and I would be unable to drive either one. I could possibly be a passenger in the Corvette, but not the Camaro. Either way, both are off my list.

Physics - she’s a real B sometimes.

If I wanted a turbo import I would have put a turbo in my RSX.

Obligatory BITOG answer of save the money, fund your 401k, pay your house off, donate to charity, etc etc etc.

Personally, I would buy the Camaro only because I have a 4 year old and need to take my wife and child if we go cruising to get ice cream or for a river drive. The Corvette would leave my wife at home and my daughter and I would go cruising and then I would have to live in it.
