The manual says use a "high quality ethyl glycol coolant with a 5yr/150000mile rating"

Well, what does that mean? the coolant is a dark orange color.

the zerex site say green?

what to do...

Orange in the case of a Mopar means factory or stealership G-05 (NOT Dexcool - which is also orange). Save yourself a few bucks and buy Zerex G-05 5yr/150,000 mile antifreeze from Pep Boys or whomever. It's identical to stealership extortion-priced Mopar G-05 except for the jug and the marker dye color - pale yellow instead of orange.

All 99 model year LH body Chryslers (Concorde, LHS, 300M, Intrepid) came from the factory with orange G-05 coolant. The Zerex G-05 is virtually clear since it is dyed a very pale yellow. It's almost impossible to see in the fill tank. You may want to consider buying at least one gallon of factory orange to mix with the Zerex to give it some color.

You can also go to your local John Deere dealer and get their G-05, which is dyed green. Or you can go to the Ford dealer and get theirs, which is dyed gold.

You can also buy various colors of fluoroscien-laced coolant dye concentrate at many auto and heavy truck parts stores. In addition to its visible color under normal light, it'll also fluoresce in the presence of UV - nice for tracking leaks with a hand-held UV source. A three ounce bottle is usually under $4.00. (I'm not sure how stable common food coloring vegetable dyes are under multiple heating and cooling cycles.)
