I have a 97 Infiniti Q45 with 56500 miles on it. The owners manual call for "Ethylene glycol base". There is the green coolant thats now in it. The Zerex/ Valvoline website has the old green stuff, but their chart says the new gold coolant to use. What are you guy recommendations??

Old style green, G-05, and Dex-Cool are all ethylene glycol based. Green is getting harder to find. G-05 is the direct replacement to green after doing a very good flush of the cooling system with distilled water.

The green etheylene glycol is the old style antifreeze that most cars used to use and some still do. You can still use that. If it was me, however, I'd switch to G-05, which lasts longer. In either case, I'd do a good flush of the engine block and radiator, using distilled water for the flush, to get all the old coolant out, and then fill with a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water. Leave the cabin heater on high while flushing. Your owner's manual will tell you how much coolant the system takes. You can use that figure to get your 50/50 mix.
