But yes, this Forum is perfect for the OCD afflicted. As stated by dave1251, Ford has tested for this and there is no rash of failures reported now that a great number of these has achieved high Mileage status.

I understand that but Ford wants 5w30 in my engine so they must have a good reason for that , my understanding is that they want the w30 to be there all the time not only when freshly poured in the engine


And I'm sure they took some shearing into consideration given you stay within the UOM. Get some D1G2, SN+ full synthetic 5w30 and sleep well.
