Where to source 90w gear oil?

What kind of mower do you have?

Look into Amsoil or Redline for straight 90. Local farm stores here have straight 90 too. Google says Advance Auto has it. Realistically, an 80w90 would be fine though.

Hi , I did find some and it's very expensive, it's a Kubota mid mount mower deck.

Maybe I should stick with 80/90

I just noticed today the manual states 90w.

Just use 80w90. Very slightly thinner when cold which is actually better.

75w90 or 80w90, its not that special.

Why not synthetic?

Also see if a Heavy Equipment dealer can give you some Final Drive SAE 50 oil.
Usually comes in 55 gallon drums.
90W gear oil equivalent…

Do you know if the application requires a GL4 or GL5?

If you can use a GL4 this will work:

Amazon has a bunch of Triax branded gear oils (including a GL4) but none of them are straight 90 weight.

I use 90 Mercruiser oil in my outdrive but it's for marine use. Don't know if that will work, though, but it's at Walmart.

I believe that oil is marketed as EP (extreme pressure). You have a few choices. All these below are mineral (conventional) oils, except Quicksilver which I believe is synthetic blend.
What are the gears of the Kubota?
Does it require API GL-4 or GL-5 oil?
How much oil do you need?

Usually SAE 50 or 20W-50 motor oils correspond to SAE 90 gear oil. However, not sure about the difference in additive package.
