Where to find SAE 40 for Detroit Diesel?

5 day shipping for free isn't too bad, but that's in my area. dunno if that holds up for not that far north of LA

Those engines are not allowed to be on the roads here so there is no reason to keep oil and parts around for them. Several years ago I needed parts for a small cam Cummins and I could not buy them in California. Were not allowed to be sold in Ca. I got them in AZ though.

O'Reilly can get it. Some stores stock it, some have to get it, but it's definitely available.

Literally any oil distributor. Pick your favorite brand. They all have a distributor finder.

Also, pro tip.

The Napa / Auto zone / other auto parts store, buy it from a distributor like me. Then resell it to the customer.

Cut first to third, go to the distributor.
