When will Auto RX work best?

Two scenarios:

1. Having auto rx in engine for one week with two long trips(500 miles each) and 500 miles of mix city/hwy driving

or

2. Having auto rx in engine for 3 weeks with 1500 miles of city/hwy driving?

Also does outdoor temperature plays any role, like winter or summer?

Right now I have GC in car with 6k on it, which oil should I use with auto RX and which one for rinse cycle?

I remember someone saying that high temps help ARX do it's job best, so the two long trips seem to me the best idea.

I'm thinking along same lines that it will remove more deposits when engine temps are higher(like in ling trip). I also think that this would be case in the summer since engine gets to oprating temperature much faster and probably runs with higher oil temps?

Higher temperatures always activate cleaners to do the job faster.

IMHO, Auto-RX will clean at any temp, it would just take longer to do so in cooler weather.

MolaKule which conventional(10W or 5w30) you recomend would work best with auto rx? I have GC in now, but after reading that you don't want to use auto rx with oil that has esters in it I decided to use auto rx with conventional oil.
I was thinking to use it with mobil drove clean oil? Is that a good choice?

Use a non synthetic oil; Castrol - Shell - Exxon -Mobil (not "Drive Clean" as it uses synthetic esters). Please go to www.auto-rx.com for application questions on Auto-Rx Forum. MolaKule is busy and he does not work for Auto-Rx and while his information is good it is not fair to take up his time. Also Auto-Rx 'guarantee' comes from the company--so ask us.

I'll chime in here from an oil analysis point of view.

Auto-RX is the safest most effective metal cleaner I am aware of. It does not affect the motor oil ( host) in any way while slowly cleaning contaminants. Also it has an untapped possibility of becoming a liquid filter that no other chemistry I have tested could approximate. I may be wrong but stay tuned on that.

Lube Control like other harsh solvent formulas that use a special chemistry to inhibit them are much more aggressive and DO affect the host oil, thus care must be taken in levels used etc. It is a HIGH flash product like AUTO-RX which enables its use as a anti- oxidant additive to the motor oil.

I have not tested the two together although some of my customers are trying that technique. As a non chemist I don't know if they would be compatible.

I am succesfully using RX as a precleaner, then LC as a anti- oxidant additive to extend the oils life and lubricity during the oil drain interval.

Periodic gentle cleaning of the crankcase with Auto-RX and systematic use of LC for now seem to be a regime to compensate for Hot burning engines that like to eat oils !

Every one of the really low wear and "clean" used oil analysis we are seeing have been using this regime.
