I'm looking at two tools specifically. The OTC Hub Grappler and the Ken-Tool Hub Shark. I like these because they can also remove the hub, versus the bearing kit from Harbor Freight which cannot. My question is which kit is better in the option on of BITOGers the OTC or the Ken-Tool?

I love the looks of the hub grappler kit.. I have the Harbor Freight kit, which works amazingly well. BUT as you said you still need a different tool to pull the hub.

I would love to have the OTC kit myself.

I'm guessing that you have seen the demo on Eric The Car Guy? Personally I am a fan of OTC products - I have their ODB monitor and a hub puller from them. I cant speak to the KT

There is a few videos on youtube of people using the HF hub puller to remove pressed in hubs.

Or are you talking Unit Bearings or something that just "fits in"

I have had a Hub Shark for at least ten years and it is great and have been real happy with it. I also used to like OTC when they were made in the US but mostly imports now after being bought and sold a few times as a company. So I'll stick my made in the USA by Ken Tool Hub Shark. The other part for me is when having to call for something OTC seems to be hit and miss on knowledgeable people on the phone these days where Ken Tool is smaller and more hands on people.

I have an OTC Hub Tamer, then bought the Tamer to Grappler kit. One note on the Tamer; you have to follow directions to use the right tool combo. But not to worry. The Grappler superseded the Tamer. I am very happy with it. The good news about various hub tools is; YouTube has some great videos out there specific to whatever tool you buy.
