I don't have a Mercon V application in my driveway, but here are some good products I've found.
1. The Warren Unilube Coastal ATF+4 from AutoZone. It's licensed, and the shifts in my 46RE are little less jerky than with the Supertech ATF+4 I used before. I was not expecting a difference.
2. The cheapest Dexron VI I can find. They all seem interchangeable. Probably Supertech for most of you. Coastal for me, since I can no longer get to Wal-Mart easily.
3. Valvoline MaxLife Dex/Merc. I used it last weekend on a 2002 Honda Civic. Cheaper and better than Z1, with absolutely no change in shift feel. At $5 per quart, it's a bargain. It's probably even cheaper for a lot of you.
