What other oils in the weights below qualify... anyone know? I'm talking about oils that can easily be found at places like Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Advance Auto, Wal*Mart... etc

Valvoline gave me these by telephone last week:

Maxlife Synthetic 5w30 HT/HS: 3.5
Maxlife Synthetic 10w30 HT/HS: 3.6

I only know of German Castrol 0W-30 and Mobil-1 0W-40 with 3.5+ HT/HS.

Of the two cases of Delo 15w40 I had stashed, around 14qts of which has the ACEA A3/B3 rating(!)..sez right behind the bottle. The date codes were 9/04 thru 11/04.

This is the "old" CI-4 rated formula. Based from the VOAs on file here, moly is present...but not as much as the mega-dosed "new low wear" formula.

AFAIK, these are(or were) the only dino otc(over the counter) oils I've encountered that has the ACEA >3.5 mPas blessing.

p.s. Today, I've managed to find and caught some 10 "Green" stragglers..now added to my stash.

Among these wts listed, I have yet to see an A3/B3 rating in 5w20 flavor...

Btw, the majority of my oils alloted for "thinning" purposes are A1/B1(i.e. Synpower 5w30/10w30, etc).

And notice all the ACEA ratings that are below 3.5 HT/HS warn, "These oils may be unsuitable for use in some engines." Buyer beware. HT/HS Rules!
