if your car is running rough then you need to give us more details, year, make, model, miles, what you have and have not done to it, etc.

A thread this badly made is an insult to the reader.

Good oil, good transmission/gear fluid, good power steering fluid, good tires (and pressure). If it does not cure the rough running then a good car is needed.

Smooth, how? Poor idle, rough ride, a miss? More info is needed. It could need a tune up, or other mechanical problems need to be addressed.

Dirty injectors and/or intake valves can cause rough idling, low power, poor fuel economy. This is what I'm considering before the next o/c: Techron concentrate in the tank, Gumout intake manifold spray or Amsoil powerfoam through the throttle body. I added Techron with my fill-up yesterday.

Has anyone had success using these products to cure rough idling and low power?

Hi guys, sorry for not post up enought info. What I mean is suspention . Not have anything to do with engine, or tranmission, everything already been done to it. My KYB shock and strut is kinda worn out, I need something else that have good handling, smoooth for every day driving and have life time warranty hehe. Im also race this car too.

97 camaro z28 5.7L full bolt on mod.

you can hijack my thread, that is ok hehe, for rough idling, have you check your IAC and clean it with carb cleaner lately ? when the last time you doing full tune up ?

Don't KYBs have a lifetime warranty? Turn 'em in for new ones!

A camaro set up for racing isn't gonna be smooth. Best thing you could do would be to get adjustable struts, maybe koni?

Smaller diameter wheels with larger sidewall tires. And new struts/springs like Eibach designed for ride first, handling second.

Be nice guys, Respect other for them to respect you.

I bought the car already have KYB stuff on it. I dont think I can get warranty out of it.

I was thinking Koni Double Adjustable Shock with Stranos spring combo. Closer to $2000 little pricey but might as well get best of the best, and be done with it. Thanks you for all comment.

But it should both ways. When dealing with computers, there is an old saying, "Garbage in = garbage out.".

ok, i can help i have same. some may disagree but it works for me

spray out your throttle body and spray the MAF wires. get any 5w30 5qts and get a purolator pureone PL20049, put maxlife ATF in that 6 sp, change your fuel filter and PCV.

don't know what kind of intake you have, but the stock intake is restrictive. check your plugs if you don't know how old they are. it's a pain but check the spark plug wires and connections too. zip tie away from headers

also the wire from the coil to the opti can get corrosion. you MUST disconnect the battery first
changing the coil is cheap ins too

that red junction box in the engine, take out the wires and use some fine sandpaper on the contacts, spray off w/ elect parts cleaner and reassemble and tighten.

see other section of bitog for replacing coolant. for handling, you can't go wrong following Sam Strano. i have koni singles, ground control adj 4 corners, about 1" drop eibach linear 500 lb fronts 150 rear, and his 35/22 swaybars. ride is not as comfortable as stock but at 3,380 lbs it handles halfway between a stock camaro and a vette

Procedure:

1) sell car
2) buy a smoother car

or just live with what you have and lower the tire pressure, new bushing, new strut/shock, softer spring, smaller diameter sway bar, smaller muffler, retard ignition timing, smaller spark plug gap, spray sound insulation all over the hood and under the car, etc.

You got to take the trade off.

Thank you ! I did all the tune up, when I bought the car last month. I did talk to sam strano , I told him about my plan and what I use it for, he recomment me the set of koni and his spring, LCA, and LCA relocation bracket, pan bar, little pricey hehe. Stuff is already order and should be here next week, I will take few pix when i got them install.
