I have been yelled at about pricing a lot more lately. Now instead of reasoning or trying to rationalize it I just say "yeah everything is expensive now. Will that be cash or card?" Not trying to sound mean, but especially the Super Duty owners that constantly knock off their $1,666 mirror or break both $1,400 taillights and then short out the $700 BLIS module inside due to moisture don't get much sympathy from me anymore. I didn't break it, I didn't build it, I didn't make up the price, I just look it up in the catalog am the bartender (psychiatric help 5c) for our shop.

Nothing I love more than a lifted Super Duty driver with huge tires complaining about the price of gas.

Puff pastry has gone from $6.99 a couple of years ago to $9.99 as of today. At that point making my own puff is worth it.

15 years ago? :ROFLMAO:
Over past 10 years average annual inflation was 6.7%, calculate compound and it's about 100% over past 10 years. No wonder why prices doubled over that time frame.
I think you missed the point. RA has (generally) become WAY more competitive because they drastically reduced shipping costs in the past ~15 years.

It's okay, most people don't read beyond the first sentence.

I sure did not read your entire post, you got that right.
OP didn't mention exact year and sub-model of his car. I went to RA and looked up front rotors for 2016 Flex non-turbo just for kicks, Centric HD vented semi coated rotor is C$97 (US$71):
