Preface: Last month I sold my house and had to move...SO, while packing up the garage and shop I found several of my sealed 4 qt bottles of 5W-30 laying around. They all had about 1/2 or more quart's in each bottle. These were all leftovers from trying to find something that "burned Less" in the ole Prius; Ultra, Platinum, Max-life, M1, Q-SUD and Castrol Edge. So to save time and mainly space I mixed them all together in one bottle. Now I have a full bottle of Heinz 57 semi-synthetic motor oil. I know there is nothing in this "Accidental Super-blend" that could hurt anything but for some reason I am hesitant to run this in a vehicle. Should I run this in a car or save it for the lawnmowers etc?

Either. It will be just fine.

....that said, I'd use it in the Tundra, to avoid 'possible' waranty issues.....

Not to worry the Tundra has been out of warranty for years...at 140k now. She got her first dose of GC 0-30 yesterday, and I heard or rather didn't hear immediate results. I don't think the engine has ever been quieter.

GC is great stuff, wish it were easier to find and ever went on sale in these parts.

As far as your brew, I would and have used stuff like that numerous times. And my car is still in warranty.

I don't know. Mixing them all together could cause a chemical reaction that could posibly cause a black hole and swollow the earth. I would give it to the neighbor!

LOL had to do it. Use with no problem!!!

HAHA!

I don't really have a vehicle that calls for 5-30 any longer but I wanted the opinion of the masses before I pass it on.

Use it. I always use any leftovers in my vehicles but use them in the engines that have a 6.5qt sump. That way they get diluted anyway. Never any effects.

I will be giving it to a family member...My father in law and Grandfather both have vehicles and lawn equipment that use 5-30.
