What power steering to use

My Scion says to use Dex type ATF in the power steering. Should I use a Dex III type A/T fluid, or should I go for the new spec Dex stuff? I was thinking of using Maxlife.

My E430 spec'd Dexron III for power steering and I used Valvoline MaxLife Power Steering Fluid for more than 2 years without problems. It likes Valvoline MaxLife Power Steering Fluid better than OEM fluid which developed a whining when the engine was warm, the power steering is very quiet with Valvoline MaxLife Power Steering Fluid.

Use any Dexron 3 type fluid.

Any DexIII equivalent can be used. Maxlife is a good choice.
