What oil should I use

I have a surbrban with a newly rebuilt 350. Its been broken in, i changed the oil at 100 miles, 500 miles and 1000, miles.

I use the truck mostlty for towing a boat, anywhere from 30 to 400 miles a day, i drive about 8k to 10k a year.

I have been usig a 5-30? What weight and or brand of oil should i be using?

You could use any of the very good dino oils and go 5k between changes, or you could use one of the very good synthetics on the market and go the full 8-10k before changing. 5W-30 will work fine.

PP full syn is on sale right now at ChinaMart, $1 a quart after rebate. You might consider that as an option.

I'd use Rotella T Synthetic 5W-40 for a big engine like that that will be worked hard....

Shell Rotella T 10W-30 or Pennzoil 5W-30 (or Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30)

Pennzoil Platinum and change it once a year, use a quality oil filter too!
