Oshkosh M-ATV. They have been around for 15 years. 12 tons.
I believe the Army was looking into acquiring Dingo 2 ATFs which were based on Unimogs and made by KMW before turning to Oshkosh. The Dingo 2 would have been roughly the same size in the short version but lighter than the M-ATV.I had to look that up. I can't believe it's already been 15 years since they were released; it feels like it was just a year or two ago I was hearing about them.
It's their compact shape that makes them appeear small in pictures without scale reference. They are rather massive vehicles. At 25 tons fully loaded, the Buffalo by General Dynamics is a very large MRAP. A BAE Systems Caiman MRAP was often seen on Fear the Walking Dead.
You can get a discount on larger orders.I wonder what MSRP is?

We already have a locked thread regarding this topic. But the important thing we need to know is what kind of oil does the Army use in it, and should they upgrade to something better? Something thinner? Something thicker?![]()
