What Is Your Shop's Labor Rate?

Im $45 per.

But I own the land free and clear.
I own the building free and clear.
I own every single tool free and clear.
And I have a real job that pays the bills.

Even so, you can make it on less, I once charged $35 per and kept the lights on. But people balk at paying shop fees for rags or whatever, or diagnostic time etc. So now they get $45 and I still have people coming from Virginia to save a buck (with the price of gas I dont see how but whatever)

That means that you are a great mechanic and your clients trust you working on their car/truck and don't mind spending extra on gas going to your shop. Its very difficult to find an honest mechanic that doesn't want to pad the repair bill. Too bad you don't live in south FL cause I would let you do all the work on my cars.
