Jonny Lang- "A Quitter Never Wins"

Not so much for the lyrics or CD version, but live. He's phenomenal on the guitar.

The Statler Brothers.. I know that's not a song, it's group. The problem is that they had so many great songs it's very hard to choose a 'favorite'.

I have so many but probably if I had to pick one it would Baba O' Riley by The Who followed by Stone in Love by Journey and third would be Time For Me To Fly by Reo Speedwagon

Words of wisdom here. I could deal with no music being played besides them, the Gatlin Brothers, and the Oak Ridge Boys...

sanatarium by metallica, and self-esteem by offspring. It is a tie.

Haven't heard that in a good long while, I love that song......

Trailers for sale or rent
Rooms to let, fifty cents
No phone, no pool, no pets
I ain't got no cigarettes
Ah, but two hours of pushin' broom
Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room
I'm a man of means by no means
King of the road

I'm shocked there's no "Stairway" takers yet.

This is a hard question.

I'll take "Stinkfist" off Tool's second album.

This is from someone who loves the early work from Elton John!

Some one told me once that "Comfortably Numb" was the last song that Waters and Gilmour actually wrote together, at least as together as they ever did work. If I had to pick just one song, this would be mine.

Having grown up in Detroit at the tail end of it's greatness, and being full witness to it's subsequent decline. This lyric has always held a special meaning to me

When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown,
The dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

Yes, either 'Stairway To Heaven' by LZ or maybe BOC's 'Don't Fear the Reaper' but since they've both been played a zillion times on the radio, I don't care to hear either of them again.

Seriously, Blue Oyster Cult's 'Astronomy' from 1978's 'Some Enchanted Evening' album. Probably the greatest version of that song ever recorded and a classic in every sense. Metallica must have been asleep when they covered that song on their 'Garage, Inc.' collection.

Also, BOC's 'The Last Days of May' from 1975's 'On Your Feet or On Your Knees' live album is great also!
