Came across this used Snap On classic 78 toolbox for sale used, trying to see what it should sell for?
Is this in SC? Maybe I should drive down...Reached out to the Seller and I he said the lowest he will take is $1500. I am a fan of these boxes, but not sure I can justify a $1500 luxury. No idea they are worth give or take $3500
Maybe things are just more expensive around me. I'd give $1500 for one no problem. That's not really much more than an HD/Lowe's box.Below is a eight year old thread on the value of these boxes. Not sure how inflation impacts current resale, or how the influx of Chinese boxes changes the value either.

Apparently I need to go shopping!Offer a grand cash (have it in your hand) and let him grind you to 1200 then walk, I bet you dont get out the door.
You were on target if using actual sale on Ebay.Apparently I need to go shopping!
I was way off.
I like how they say over 21,500 cubic inches of space which is a tad under 12.5 cubic feet.Harbor freight sells this copy. It's a very good box.
Plus for $50 more they will deliver it. Seems like a no brained to me
Found this- not sur how legitimate it is:

Found only one used Snap on classic 78 that sold. It sold for $3,000. And on Ebay, one pays sales tax so out the door before shipping likely about $3250.

It's ball bearingAm I mistaken that the Classic 78's are friction slides?
If it's friction, I flat out wouldn't want it, period. If roller (KRL) I'd say $1500. Anything in the three grand area is absurd
