In the past I would call [censored], but a woman at my work had this happen.

Someone had logged into her router with the default password, and put a rouge DNS server on there.

The DNS was being pushed to all her clients.

It was distributing adware to all of her clients, including her MAC laptop.

She took the router/modem combo back to the ISP, and the problem has gone away.

I walked her through putting a secure password on the router.
