I bought that card, the 6600 GT, Thanks! Loaded the latest drivers. I loaded Google Chrome with the integrated flash player.

I can play all the games now, even at highest settings, but STILL when I play you-tube videos, the audio is fine, but the video still stutters, can't keep up.

It is what it is I guess. Tried overclocking a litting with FSB numbers, but the system heated up and got unstable. I am thinking the single core Athlon is the problem. Perhaps using a older version of Flash would help the CPU.

I'll try Flash Player 9

I don't think Adobe even introduced hardware acceleration for Flash until after version 9 (version 11? I forget).

Also, versions prior to the absolute latest are riddled with security holes that are well-known to even the most casual evildoers.

My guess is that the latest Flash will be the easiest on your hardware, the most "secure" (as much as one could use the word "secure" pertaining to Flash!) and the most compatible with the video formats that embedded Flash videos will be streaming.

Well I fixed the stuttering issue, I just go into task manager and give the web browser higher priority. Solves the issue. Could not downgrade flash, I'm still running flash 11.xxx

Max out the ram. Ram is your friend.
Download Mint linux and install over windows. You'll never look back. Been running it for 10 years. Have a dozen friends on it and they love it. Some are NOT computer savy at all.
Windows gets fat and slow after time.

just get a new computer. they have refurb 5x more powerful for
Windows 7 isnt the devil that was windows 8

for example this newegg deal ending at midnight today

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...0835M0839-S1A8C

Core 2 Quad 2.30GHz

XP running at 90% "idling" was what made me switch to solely running Linux. It has been said that there was a bug written into the last update before EOL that intentional caused this, as a means to force everyone into windows 7 or 8.

I will never pay for an OS again, not when there are very good free OS's created for everyone’s benefit, and not for the lining of a giant monopolies pockets.

I had 2 GB of RAM and a Dual Core Athlon x64 @ 2.5 Ghz and even with windows 7 (this was about 5 years ago) and it couldn't cut it for HD flash video. CPU never said 100% usage but when I upgraded the chip and only the chip to a PhenomIIx4 video played effortlessly.

So i'm going to say CPU.

One thing you could try is Chrome since it has its own flash module. Maybe hardware acceleration will work and help you out.
