+1. It's easy to use, easy to find, fairly cheap ($6) and works wonders on water spots. In combination with a good paste wax applied twice a year, the Eagle One spray keeps my cars looking great with minimal effort.

After you apply your favorite wax/polish prior to winter, use any quick detail or wax as you dry product during the winter after you have given your ride a good cleaning or taken through the local car wash.

+2, trying it out for the first time and am really liking it so far. Put it over a couple of layers of Opti-seal and that should take me through a Kansas winter (or so I'm told).

I see most of the spray waxes say to apply when wet. Do you guys apply it in the winter directly after the wash or do you wait until you get home? I am in Illinois and we get some cold, cold winters.

I have a heated garage but many times the water droplets are frozen by the time I get my cars to the garage.

I typically apply Zaino AIO in November and top coat with Z2 and Zaino CS. I would like to think that would last until March but I am skeptical and that is why I have been toying with the idea of a spray wax every few weeks to "touch up" my wax.

Do you guys think maybe one coats of a quality paste wax in mid Jan might be better then 3-4 spray wax applications?

wn1998, If you use Zaino I think the Z8 is what you would want to use (if you're staying with Zaino) and it should work fine on a dry car, just don't use as much. Might also look at a waterless or rinseless option so you can wash in the garage. My choice is ONR (optimum no rinse).

What I'm doing this winter, is that I applied two coats of TW Ice paste wax after washing/claying the car. Then I tend to keep the finish maintained by doing "dry washes" using the TW Ice QD or Lucas Slick Mist.

I had a horrible experience with Turtle Ice spray wax last month and tossed it out. Being cold it wouldnt come off after application. I have had good luck with 3M WM products, but alas they dont sell that anymore. It was great really. So, now I just plan to use cleaner waxes every 6 weeks until spring rather than testing new spray waxes.

Try Dri Wash n' Guard's Ultra Ion; it works pretty well down to about 35 degrees or so. No swirl makes with this stuff.

If its very cold, that screws up with emulsions and the process of the plating out onto the car's surface, which makes sense if you think about it. I just wipe off what ever I can and then ignore the rest.

So far I'm a happy camper with the two coats of TW Ice paste from November. The hood is still glossy, and water is still beading. On a day when it was 50*F, I took the car to scrub-a-dub (tunnel car wash), and then applied Lucas Slick Mist. The car came out looking wonderful.

I cant wait to try this stuff, however I just cant imagine its possible to be better than Optimum Car Wax, If I could only choose one detailing product to have on my shelf, OCW would be in the running for sure!

How good is there ultimate spray wax, in the black bottle. Lucas spray wax is an excellent product!! Also Mother SYN spray wax is excellent too. But Lucas spray wax doesn't streak. How durable is NXT spray wax versus their ultimate spray wax? Thanks!!!

NXT spray wax is no good, its not a wipe on, wipe off product.

I don't live in a really cold climate, but Armor All Wash & Wax Detailer is great. I use it as a drying aid. Boosts the beading on my mercedes and leaves the color looking great on my van. They don't call it a wax, but it has carnuba and leaves the surface super slick.
