So, I've used Valvoline for years and years with no complaints. I certainly respect Pennzoil, M1, Castrol, and the rest. Very nice products, IMO. Lately I've been looking over the web pages and product offerings for the other motor oil companies... and I can help but notice that Valvoline's product line doesn't change much. Even their ads are kinda lackluster, "100 years under the hood." They might add a synthetic blend of something, but nothing like the new Pennzoil offerings. Mobil has been busy lately and come out with a ton of new oils over the last few years, and now they are jumping into the extended drain market. Quaker State came out with different formulations for horsepower, torque, whatever else. Valvoline came out with the first high mileage engine oil, MaxLife, more than 10 years ago. Kudos to them. Everyone followed them into that market within a few years. But since then, I really have not heard much from them. What has Valvoline been up to lately?
