what happened to the million mile claims?

How many did you see that didn’t even make it to the highway ? Current emissions strategies are designed to eliminate ICEs and mandate EVs. Luckily some of this may change early in 2025. I’m saving my coin for a delete to help out the Green Initiative while I throw another log on the fire. 🔥
More likely to be broken down in the city at a stop light. Where you have to nurse a barely running engine into a parking lot somewhere all while still stopping at 4 stop signs before you can get there.

Or broke down at the dealership for weeks or months with NO fix available while the notes come regularly and the insurance payments while you have to catch a ride to work.

And if you think these are isolated incidents, check out any of the diesel pickup forums. There’s thousands of them from every brand.

Well not to derail the thread, Merry Christmas to everyone! I would like to continue but I don’t want to be pi$$ed off all day. So Peace. Out.

I hope they do catch guys going with a delete.

Makes no sense at all. Maybe they were aiming more for fuel economy than emissions? Well there goes the fuel economy. I wonder if mpg will drop 50 percent like it did on the diesels when they got a dpf
They are forced to add something for the epa. When that causes issues, they add something else…and on and on. Becomes much more complicated. Thank you epa.

I think mobile delvac used to claim it was the million mile oil. didn't see that on the new bottles, now I saw rotella claimed like 400,000 miles. What's with the conversative numbers now?
Rotella has their 500k T6 warranty. If I was the kind to buy a new truck and that truck was a Ram 6.7 with hydraulic lifters, I'd be tempted to read further into the fine print and speak to a lawyer.

This is why I love my Olds 350 diesel, she just keeps running forever thanks to not having any of that overly complicated emissions nonsense!

Ok not really 🤣

My bet is they would place the failure on mechanical defects and they would be out Scott free.

That's what I think with guys who infringe on the cleanness of the of the air I breath.....and break Federal and/or state laws. But you know-'Merica don't infringe on my pickup truck.
Ford SuperDutys with the 6.7L PowerStroke that are purchased by the Federal Government are deleted from the factory. Rules for thee but not for me I guess. Shows just how problematic the systems are though.
