What is a good fuel system cleaner for a Yamaha GP1200R WaveRunner? It has a 1200cc 3 cylinder all aluminum 2-Stroke engine.

I want to use a fuel system cleaner that is safe to use with an oil injected 2-stroke.

Your thoughts please.

My expectation is that Yamaha would be advising Ringfree. I have not used it. Seafoam should do well. Not sure about Techron or Redline's products... I have heard it said that some biodiesel mixed into the fuel can work as a good two-stroke cleaner. Can't advise that procedure - just heard about it.

If you just want to add to the fuel the ringfree or simular products work. My experience is the spray products like OMC tune-up or mercs equivilant, seem to blow more stuff out quicker if used as the label says. IMO a watercraft if run hard shouldn't need much of this kind of treatment.

FWIW, Yamaha had us using ring-free on 4 stroke sled motors that were using oil (due to poor break-in). To free up the rings and break the glaze on the cyl walls. Not sure if it actaully worked or was a bandaid, but they seem to have some faith in it.
