Nothing fancy but doing some pretrip maintenance as we have three vehicles and two trailers doing a 1600km round trip to the Royal Red horse show . Checked fluids on the diesel, everything still good from its maintenance earlier this year. I will check the brakes on the 6 horse as well.

The Ford Flex just needs a bath and clean out the interior so it looks less rez.

The third vehicle with trailer is a friend so if they ask for help great, if not, sucks to be them.

1999 Escalade: tried to recharge a/c but the system needs more attention than just a recharge. Also repaired a door check roller

2002 Tacoma: tightened squealing belt, replaced air filter, engine oil change, serviced manual trans with MT90 and serviced both diffs. Someone had previously encountered stuck plugs on the front diff:View attachment 350569

I chucked up both and at least took down the high spots and sharp burs.

I replaced a recently installed, but defective A/C condenser and receiver drier on my G35 today. It was annoying because I replaced the entire system with all new parts a few months ago and it was defective right from the start. I also received a defective evaporator, but I exchanged it before installing. Basically, two critical new pieces were defective out of the box.

Finally got around to getting my belly dump trailer unloaded. It’s been sitting several months since the engine laid down with a load on it and I haven’t had time to get it together. Used my old GMC Briagdier with a 750 Holmes to tow it down the hill and dump the trailer out then I split the trailer off so I can use it and put the truck in a storage spot until I have time to mess with it. Fortunately this truck has a quick connect fitting to supply air to it and I put one on the wrecker too. Simply ran an air hose between them to air the truck and trailer up to release the brakes and actuate the gates on the trailer.

Moved a track loader tonight.

2010 Honda Civic LX-S, 154K.

A friend is selling this vehicle to another BITOGer. I picked up the car today and gave it a full inspection, which led to the following work:

- Engine Oil and Filter Change. The new owner requested 5W-30.

- Tire Rotation

- Cleaned Cabin Air Filter
- Drain and Refill ATF

- A/C Evac and Recharge

- Repair one torn front bumper tab

I didn’t want the new owner to get bored, so I left him some work to do: replacing the front wiper blades and repairing the circuit board on the instrument cluster.

When you see oilly gaskets like that,think about updating your PCV valve if if haven't already. Could be sucking in extra crank oil thru the manifold.

I gave the vehicle a quick exterior wash and vacuum today. Also cleaned the windows in/out, degreased all door jambs and lightly cleaned the engine bay. The car is still needs A LOT of cleaning but I have to leave the new owner something to do…

I also tested the A/C performance and it now passes with flying colors:

New exhaust on the Caprice. The after market mufflers and pipes connecting to the stock exhaust were rotting out.
Went with a Solo catback exhaust. WAY better than what I had quieter in the car and sounds pretty good. Really tame
unless you get into it.

Stock exhaust. The rear flanges were starting to rot.

I had used a stainless band clamp to keep it from leaking, there was nothing left
underneath it.

When I purchased the car the dealer had done a muffler delete. It was loud and
droned. I had the local exhaust shop install these mufflers. Should have just went
with the cat back back then, but they were not making one yet.

1200 bucks worth every penny.

More odds and ends. I did a basic interior clean/vacuum, check tire pressure ajd clean the cabin air filter on the Ford Flex. Then into town for gas and a car wash. I'll do a hot check on the ATF level and then throw a bottle jack in there.

Months ago, we had a flat and it got new tires. Found there was no jack. OK, dealer ordered one up and we forgot and they never called. I checked the spare the other day and of course, no jack. The dealer has it for us, but due to the long weekend, we cant get it before we leave.

Then did some prep on the two campers. They are booked for next weekend. I have water hooked up and it seems everything is working now. The staff can do laundry and drain the tanks yet. I hate campers and despise these everytime I have to set foot in them. I will never own one.

Last night we sold our Escape at a loss to a local friend of ours. Just glad it's gone. We are down to five personal vehicles now. I just dont have time to manage everything.

We still say that . It is cammed, cam is from BTR (Brian Tooley Racing).

BTR cam is as follows. Duration: intake 217 exhaust 232 Lift: intake .615" exhaust .636" 113 LSA.
Stock cam is as follows. Duration: intake 196 exhaust 208 Lift: intake .478" exhaust .466" 116 LSA.

I believe it is the smallest aftermarket non custom grind you can get for the L77/LS2/LS3, but I can't
remember. Some people just throw in an LS3 Cam.

Still the Caprice has been my favorite to own. Even more so than the Corvette.
