What are you working on today?

After getting in past midnight Wednesday night working on the semi on the side of the road I had another late night yesterday. My Bassett/Lab mix had started limping slightly on Wednesday and that progressed to not being able to get up or walk at all yesterday. Loaded him up last night and hauled him an hour to the emergency vet clinic. He has some narrowing of the discs in his spine towards the hips and they think he has a pinched nerve causing pain. 3 rounds of medication for two weeks and hopefully he will recover. It’s going to be a waiting game although he did get up and move a little this morning. Thankfully he was extremely easy to handle and really doesn’t show any signs of being in pain. Not much seems to bother him. Got home around 1am.

My dog has bad hips and we give him Baileys CBD oil and that helps him a lot. Order online from their site, it's somewhere in California. Maybe a long-term option for you and him.
Hopefully, he gets better.

2015 F-250 - 6.2 gas, new to me truck purchase. Have been getting a P0420 that came back even after a downstream O2 replacement. Pulled out the stock cats, compared the Walker aftermarket replacements. They look good but noticeably smaller. Waiting on a band clamp then will finish the install. The original cats were Ford OEM units and lasted 175k. I'm fairly certain this truck wasn't abused and well maintained by the previous company.

More remedial work on the neighbors '04 Highlander
Upper & lower hose, thermostat, coolant, hatch lift supports
Dorman 1.75" constant tension clamps are the closest local approximation to OE Toyota clamps
I'm gonna experiment with Wurth brand clamps in the near future

He was alerted to the radiators condition, up to him now 🤷‍♂️

My BIL’s truck finally started squealing bad enough for him to get me to do the rear brakes. I’ll be doing the install tomorrow, using Bosch Quietcast coated rotors and pads. I found that one caliper was very sticky…I’ll grab new ones and replace both.

You would think being by the ocean would mean rust but there’s very little here, which is nice.

Here’s a few pics after this evening’s disassembly.
