Got the heads off the Duramax & dropped off at the machine shop, 3 injectors were stuck pretty hard......My arms are sore!!

I hauled two light loads of rock this morning and then came home to start the tear down. Doing king pins, leaf springs, spring pins on both sides as well as shoes, drums, wheel seals and hub caps. The brakes were more worn than I’d like so I decided to do it while it’s apart. Gotta run to town tomorrow to get all of the parts.
I used my old Holmes wrecker as my jack because I don’t own anything tall enough to lift on the frame without a bunch of sketchy cribbing.

Well, it's been a day. I replaced the wheel bearing in the Escape. Fixed? Why would it be? So, replaced last time with SKF unit. Sound went away but I figured I pushed in the inside grease seal on install. Well, several thousand km later, the sound returned. Old bearing was ripped apart, didn't look bad. New bearing in, while sound is a different tone, it's still there. Felt in the steering wheel on smooth asphalt when turning right and loading the bearing, as well as slight vibration under drivers feet. Well, I have no time to continue this charade so it will go up for sale soon.
My 36 year old Husqvarna 32R had some running issues as well. Starts, idles fine but had a high speed bog or dead spot. Sometimes it would clear up or at least get up to speed. Tore the carb down, did a quick clean and now it barely runs on full throttle. Next week, after work, I'll completely tear it down again, do a more thorough clean and perhaps get some fresh fuel line and filter.
Then my cheapo Troy Bilt 4 stroke power head started rattling. I was using it to till up weeds when it went down. The clutch was coming apart. I had to bend the springs back to seat the clutch weights. Seems to work fine again.

We had like 6 days of heavy rain and I never heard the sump pump kick on. It should have been running for days. It takes a minute to get to because it’s in the farthest corner in the crawl. I also pull radon out through the same corrugated pipe in a trench throughout the crawlspace so it’s also sealed for air. I eventually get the heavy rubber off, break the lines so I can get into it, and it’s fine??? 1/2” of water, float switch works, nothing is amiss?? All of the ground beneath the house, even the middle, is soft underneath that plastic. But there’s no big water in that sunken barrel.

These were removed from my buddies '17 Pacifica w ~ 168k a couple weeks ago, pretty crusty. Probably original when talking to my buddy, we did the coils as well.

We ditched the rear suspension, installed some Astro "heavy duty" leafs and Bilsteins. The lower overload on the new "heavy duty" packs was negative arch like old Tacos and I opted to flip it to match the arch of the upper leafs. The owner reports it rides great.

Back onto the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, Pulled bank 1 valve cover & confirmed the intake cam lobes are damaged.
It showed misfires on Bank 2 (2-4-6), But had positive fuel trims on Bank 1. So be careful blindly trusting the misfire monitor on these.
Used a SGW bypass cable as I refuse to pay for the privilege to scan a FCA vehicle.

Right side spring and U bolts are in. Got the left side cut out and ready to hand the spring in the morning. Picked up some Cat 5% moly grease for the spring pins while I was in town getting everything else. That should keep these spring pins in good shape for a long time.
The Deere 1025r was a lifesaver once again lifting the old springs out and setting the new ones in place. Tomorrow I have to set up my torque multiplier to pull the U bolts down to 500 foot pounds. I have a 3/4 inch torque wrench but it’s not as easy to use especially upside down. I’ll use my 1/2 Snap On wrench and the multiplier to set the final torque. After a week or so of use I’ll check them again.

2001 Exploder SportTrac: owner broke left rear window while weed eating. This is what was left of her glass assy:
My M12 belt file was awesome for reaching into the door to sand down the rivets they use to retain the window bracket to the regulator:
The glass has a metal bracket adhered to the bottom. This bracket must sorta curve with the curvature of the glass, but this one was built incorrectly and angled the wrong way! So, I had to bend a stamped steel bracket attached a pane of glass -- totally not sketchy at all

Decided to get ahead of the next winter season and painted my winter rims with Eastwood Rust encapsulater on the mounting surface and Armor Coat Rust paint over top the encapsulator and the rest of each rim. The tires are Yokahama Ice Guards made in Japan.
Motor mounts on an '03 Astro AWD. This is a terrible job, even with a lift.
We're not the first to do this and all reports are that it doesn't help much, but I crammed some square stock in the inexplicable gap between the rubber and the mount cage to hopefully slow sagging -- kinda like Botox for motor mounts.
This is the bottom of the mount and the weight pushes the rubber into this gap:
Plug welded so it won't walk out:
In other news, for the upper BJs (which bolt in and that's kinda cool) they use M8x1.00. This is the first time I've personally encountered this thread. @Zee09 when you're not scaring ladies at the local dive bar, have you ever seen M8x1.00 called out?
