Got a call for a jerky 1-2 gear change on a L90H. Went to check the level and just happened to remove the filler cover and the transmission was overfilled with this liquid. Asked around at the site and someone had filled it with around 20L of washer fluid. Did two changes and it was still rough and when the lockup locks it jerks. Probably needs a rebuild.. only 5600 hours too.

Yep, and these transmissions run hot when overfilled by just a few liters over the around 19L we fill when changing. So almost 40L in it.

Finally working on the last steps of restoring/modernizing the interior of my 1998 Firebird, which was one of those projects that was originally going to just be fixing a couple broken bits but somehow turned into a year-long ordeal. Pulled the passenger seat (which is getting replaced) and center console which is getting cleaned up, the top section replaced with one that isn't broken, leather-wrapped console lid with a metal frame that also shouldn't break again, leather e-brake boot, and the shifter from a 5th-gen Camaro.

(I know the e-brake boot is the wrong color. Some leather dye will fix that!)

Yesterday at work I finished up my batch of hydro boost units, then started on some aluminum bushings that are meant to replace polyurethane units.

Some work on the Malibu. Front struts, sway bar end links and the inner axle boot on the drivers had a small tear so a new axle. I dont generally use quick struts, but these KYBs are really nice and sat perfect when istalled.

It was exactly the same as what I pulled off.

Changed the spark plugs (NGK Lazer Iriduim) and PCV valve (Import Direct Ignition PCV Valve 28-0240) on the Hyundai. Figured why not replace the PCV valve while I was doing the plugs since it’s all right there. Glad I did. The old one rattled but barely. It was definitely obstructed.

2018 Chevy Suburban, Extracted 3 broken exhaust manifold bolts, New gaskets & ARP Bolts, Replaced left engine mount.

Plugging away at a 2012 Ford F150 Ecoboost long block job, Customer bought a reman trough O'Reilly.....Wanted nothing to do with that decision as I recommended a low mileage pullout. This is killing the owner financially with all the small things it's needed.....
*Valve Covers.....The old ones are clogged up with sludge.
*Fuel Injectors....They will void warranties over reusing GDI Injectors.
*Both Injector sub harnesses....Old one's connectors crumbled to dust.
*Both Turbo's where shot.
*Got a good used oil cooler.
*All 4 VVT solenoids.

The gaskets sent look & feel cheap, The RTV job on the timing cover & oil pan is crappy.

This is likely the last non-OE reman engine I do, If this engine is a dud....I'm going to charge the same labor again as I have no control over parts procurement.
