Finished up the '19 Silverado/L84 DFM delete except the test drive.

Needed new clips for the fender filler panels $10 a piece & I needed 8

The ECM showed up from HP-Tuners (Just in time)....Still forced to use the Beta version of VCM Suite. With 2 day shipping back & forth I got close to $700 in getting the ECM tuned, $300 for the unlock service, $300 for credits & almost $100 in shipping.

Working on my brother's "won't touch that with a ten foot pole" VW EuroVan based Winnebago Rialta. He had it shipped to me in Seattle from Florida because after calling 50 numbers, no one would work on it. I'm about to unload the parts cannon on it as I have made no progress on definitively diagnosing it's run then stall condition. It's pre-OBD and I have nothing that can scan it so all I've got is one blink code: 1344 coil second stage short to B+.

I'm going to do a hail Mary and replace plugs, wires, ignition module and coil all at the same time.

New driver pdl solenoid in GMT400.

Some videos have you taking the entire door plate out, but all you have to do is drill the two mounting rivets and slip it out through here.

I used a bottom-dollar SKP from RA. For the moment it works great.....? This was a free job for my neighbor.

Got some more work done on the 10r80. Can’t do any more without forward frictions. They should be in early next week at latest (I hope). Been on back order and had to find a different source to get them faster. Had to pick up a couple of snap rings to adjust clutch clearance on F and D clutch. Everything else is assembled as much as possible. Some old parts in the last photo.

You spent a whole paragraph to say "I was polishing a turd" :)

2000 Chevy S-10 2.2L/4L60E....From a shop I do electrical & diag work for, Said it runs the battery down & they changed the underhood fuse box.

I know they saw some melted wires when changing the fuse box Or the tech was blind.

A little disassembly revealed the body harness had rubbed through at the ABS pump bracket & shorted (I think) one of the main Hots going to the ignition switch & somehow shorted the ground going to the data link connector. Thankfully the leg of the ground going inside the cab didn't burn/melt......But it "let the smoke out" all the way to the fuse box & believe it burnt the jumper/board in the original fuse box.

This morning I replaced the OEM EFB battery in my 2017 Titan with a Walmart AGM.

The factory unit was still performing fine so the penny pincher in me hated spending almost $200 to replace it. I blame you people for this.

Making/reworking/repairing window screens. Done 5 so far. I have a little station set up. It's light work, something I can do!!

Most just need new screen material. The spline just needs a clean, wipe down and silicone spray. I did replace a long leg in one, mustabeen bend by the previous idiot. Pretty fast at it, but slow at cutting the remnant around the periphery, a feared I will cut my new screen.

BTW from the inside I use car trim tools to reset in the window. Slick!
