One of my favorite things to do has become navigating my driveway. 20' sticks are pretty easy, 24's get a bit more interesting.
For the first two trees and my gate I have no choice but to go high:
After that it's a fun game of weaving, hooking one side behind trees so the opposite side clears, then repeat in the opposite direction:

I did the timing belt on my car today, I also did it 2 years ago but used a cheap tensioner and didn't pre tension the belt with the eccentric pulley correctly so here I am once again replacing the timing belt because it was slapping against the belt covers.
I also discovered an original alternator with almost 200,000 miles that still works and the bearings feel good too.

Replaced factory battery in order to fix climate control problem. She was a little old
I am about 2/3 complete on removing the old roof sealant on the 6 horse. Looks to be factory seal and on there good. This took most of the day.
Once its complete, it will get a wipe down of mineral spirits, then a small bead of silicone to seal the aluminum roof sheet before it goes back outside. We need the trailer moved for the weekend and I wont get the eternabond before then anyways.

Rear Pads and Brake Fluid Exchange on a 17 RDX.
Changed out the oil on my Mini Sunday afternoon, and swapped out a possibly defective VVT solenoid. Idle was a bit lumpy and uneven, and checking the usual suspects yielded nothing. No vacuum leaks, fuel pressure was where it needed to be consistently, until I checked the oil. Nasty, filthy stuff. It wasn’t in there that long, but it was about 3k miles so I changed it.
VVT solenoid took about 20 minutes since a lot has to come off to get at it properly. It smoothed out the idle; it’s not perfectly smooth like the Grand Marquis, but it never will be - it’s a turbo 4 and is tuned for rapid driving, not cross country touring.
And the Grand Marquis got a new set of headlights, side marker lights, fog lights and a new grille to replace the faded, hazy and flaky chrome of the old stuff. Then I installed new tires I got from Walmart on their early Black Friday sale.

Inner CV boot on the '01 Boxster S just starting to fling grease so I'm replacing the inner joint w/ OEM GKN. Figure the work for replacing just the boot is the same so might as well do a whole new joint and be done with it. Started the disassembly and shouldn't be bad assuming the joints go off and back on the half shaft smoothly.

Close to 20 pounds of old sealant has been removed from the roof of our 6 horse. I sealed a couple spots with silicone before she goes outside for a week. Eternabond 3" has been ordered. I will degrease and draw some reference lines on the once im ready to go.
